You’re Spent… But He Spun It

You’re Spent… But He Spun It

“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair.” — 2 Corinthians 4:8

There is a kind of exhaustion sleep cannot fix.

It isn’t physical fatigue alone. It’s the weariness of believing, serving, leading, praying, forgiving, building, and still waiting. It’s the kind of tired that settles deep into your soul and makes you question whether you have anything left to give.

Maybe that’s where you are today.

Spent.

Spent from carrying what no one else could see.

Spent from being the strong one.

Spent from surviving seasons you never volunteered for.

Spent from pouring into others while quietly wondering who will pour into you.

But I came with good news.

You’re spent, but He spun it.

What looked like the end in your hands became the beginning in His.

The enemy thought he was emptying you.

God was positioning you.

The enemy thought he was draining your strength.

God was draining your dependence on everything except Him.

There is a holy mystery about God: He has never required fullness before He performs a miracle. He waits until the oil looks insufficient. Until the jars appear empty. Until the crowd is hungry. Until Lazarus has been buried. Until Gideon has too few soldiers. Until Moses has nothing but a staff.

God specializes in taking what appears exhausted and spinning it into evidence of His glory.

What if your exhaustion isn’t proof that you’ve failed?

What if it’s proof that you’ve reached the place where only God can receive the credit?

Too often we interpret weariness as rejection.

“He must not be with me.”

“He must have forgotten me.”

“I don’t have what it takes anymore.”

No.

Sometimes heaven is simply changing your posture.

You’ve spent years relying on your gifting, your discipline, your strategy, your resilience, and your ability to keep pushing.

Now God is teaching you another language:

Dependence.

There are seasons where God doesn’t refill you immediately because He’s reshaping you first.

He is spinning your disappointment into discernment.

He is spinning your delay into depth.

He is spinning your tears into intercession.

He is spinning your losses into wisdom.

He is spinning your silence into authority.

He is spinning your breaking into beauty.

The cross itself is proof.

What looked like defeat on Friday became redemption by Sunday.

The greatest victory in history first looked like complete loss.

If God could spin a crucifixion into resurrection, He can certainly spin your weary season into purpose.

So stop measuring your life by how depleted you feel.

Measure it by who is holding you.

Because God has never dropped what He has ordained.

And neither will He start with you.

Perhaps the greatest danger isn’t being spent.

It’s believing that because you’re empty, God is finished.

He isn’t.

The Potter is still turning the wheel.

The Author is still writing the chapter.

The Weaver is still connecting the threads.

The Redeemer is still redeeming.

And while you thought everything was unraveling…

He was spinning it.

So breathe again.

Rest without guilt.

Trust without fear.

Hope without apology.

Because when God gets finished spinning what life tried to break, even your greatest place of exhaustion will testify that His grace was enough.

You may be spent.

But He spun it.

And when the story is told, people won’t remember how empty you became.

They’ll remember how faithful God proved Himself to be.
