Stop Chasing Exits

There is a level of exhaustion that doesn’t come from working too hard, it comes from trying to keep people, places, and seasons that have already decided to leave.

Some of us have become experts at pursuing what God has already released.

We chase old relationships because we fear starting over. We chase opportunities because we think they’ll never come again. We chase titles, platforms, conversations, apologies, and people who have already shown us where they stand.

But here’s the truth:

An exit is an answer.

Not every departure is the devil. Not every closed door is spiritual warfare. Sometimes God is simply removing what has fulfilled its purpose.

The greatest delay in your life may not be the enemy. It may be your refusal to stop standing in the doorway of what has already ended.

Imagine standing in an airport, watching a plane you’ve missed disappear into the clouds. No amount of running down the runway will bring it back. All you’ll accomplish is exhausting yourself while missing the announcement for the next flight.

Many believers are living exactly like that.

You’re emotionally chasing.

Mentally chasing.

Spiritually chasing.

Meanwhile, heaven is announcing what’s next.

The enemy doesn’t always need to bind you if he can keep your eyes fixed on what has already walked away.

Some people didn’t betray you, they completed their assignment.

Some opportunities weren’t stolen from you, they expired.

Some relationships weren’t meant to become permanent, they were classrooms, not residences.

The mature believer learns the difference between fighting for something and forcing something.

If you have to constantly convince someone to value you, believe you, choose you, or remain committed to you, you’ve already stepped outside of peace.

God rarely asks us to chase.

He asks us to follow.

There is a difference.

One is driven by fear of loss.

The other is led by faith.

Today, release the exit.

Stop replaying the conversation.

Stop checking who left.

Stop trying to reopen what God quietly closed.

Your future isn’t behind you.

The next chapter of your life will not begin until you stop rereading the last one.

What are you still chasing that God has already allowed to exit your life?

Maybe your greatest breakthrough isn’t found in pursuing harder.

Maybe it’s found in finally letting go.

Stop chasing exits.
